On the state and level of school chemical education

Authors:

M/ Kuznetsova L.. Adress: Moscow.

Summary

Lately in the pedagogical science and practice dozens of borrowed terms appeared, such as: competence, critical thinking, constructivism, metaphors, context, and others. But new terminology introduction can only stall a teacher, not help one in one’s donkey work. Meanwhile our didactics and pedagogical psychology as far back as in the Soviet times worked out scientific reasonable from a scientific standpoint of view didactic methods and approaches, which allow to achieve high results in training. In pursuit of false innovations experience of national scholars has been forgotten, and has not been used, though this experience can increase the quality of our education.

Authors:

Reut L. A.. Adress: Волгоград. Workplace: the Volgograd State Social and Pedagogical University.

Panibratenko M. V.. Adress: Волгоград. Workplace: the Volgograd State Social and Pedagogical University.

Summary

The present article considers the issue of unconventional approach to calculation chemistry task solution in regard to gas mixtures. This approach consists in development of the uniform structure of solution for such tasks. The authors suggest utilizing the generalized table into which in the course of solution the data on all gaseous substances used in a specific task are entered. The general approach to solution of tasks in regard to gas mixtures makes it possible to direct the pupils’ thoughts to a certain channel and each new task is solved on the basis of the pupil’s previous personal experience.

Torosian E. S.. Adress: Yurga, Kemerovskay region. Workplace: Yurginskij Technological Institute (Branch), Tomsk Polytechnic University.

Summary

Oscillatory processes underlie many natural phenomena. Oscillatory chemical reaction, now bears the name of the Belousov-Zhabotinsky (BZ), was widely known as a chemical science community and the students and just have curious people. The purpose of the experimental tasks proposed in this paper is to introduce the oscillations in chemical systems, the kinetics of autocatalytic reactions, the phenomenon of self-organization in chemical systems. The mechanism of oscillatory reaction (BZ), which are the creators of the Field - Koros - Noyes (PKU) is a combination of several processes. The principal feature of the mechanism is a competition between Br-and BrO3-HBrO2 core mechanism for PKU is a process that involves the autocatalytic production stage HBrO2. And the reaction is the result of repeated pulses of oxidation. Implementation of experimental tasks to study the kinetics of oscillatory processes can be used in practical courses in chemistry and research work of students.
