Gas production in a double-throw test tube

Landoldt's vessel as an equipment for gas obtaining is described. The solid reacatant is added to one appendix of the vessel and the liquid – to the other. Than the vessel is plugged by a stopper with a gas relief tube. To start the reaction the liquid reactant is poured to the solid. To stop the reaction the liquid is poured out from the solid to the other appendix. The instructional materials for some experiments with hydrogen are attached.
