The article reveals the methodology of working with various types of images. The combinations of words of the teacher and chemical demonstrations are characterized. The method of application of educational photographs, drawings, artistic tools, schematic and iconic clarity, ideographic tools is described. It is stated that the more abstract is visual information, the more complete explanation of the teacher is needed. Before becoming the means of knowledge of the learner, model images are independent objects of study. The article provides numerous examples of the inclusion of visual images in the learning process and the most general rules for their application.
