Until recently research of scientists from Russia, the USA, Germany, Switzerland, and some other countries allowed receiving the information regarding existence of atoms of elements with atomic numbers up to 118, but there were no any atoms of element # 117 among them.

A complex-forming reaction between Fe3+ ions and rhodanate-ions is very beautiful and cognitive. This demonstrational experiment is based on the difference of colors of Fe3+ aqua-ions, rhodanate, and fluoride complexes. Fe3+ aqua-ion features yellow color, while it is of almost achromatic in dilute solutions, a rhodanate complex absorbs light intensively and has bloody-red color, and fluoride complex is colorless in a solution.
