Russian Federation takes the first place in the extraction and reserves of natural gas in the world. The major part of it is exported or burnt down for heat and electricity production. In the article reference directions in chemical processing of natural gas with the application of fundamentally new native technologies are described. These technologies will open new possibilities for the gradual transfer from the export of raw material to the export of deep processing products. In Russia such technologies may become a strong incentive for the development of native economy.

The secrets of stoichiometry

n this Article considered some questions of stoichiometry as a system of laws, principles and terms, which lay grounds for calculations of the substance’s composition and quantitative relations between the substances in chemical reactions. It is accentuated that it is not advisable to add the equations of independent reactions and reversible consecutive reactions. Little-known facts about negative value of stoichiometric numbers of initial substances in the reaction equation are present as secrets of stoichiometry. The conception of the extent of the reaction which is in some sources is inconsistently called “the degree of completeness” are also considered in this article. In the oxidation-reduction reaction which depends on the acidity, the reagent may have two different equivalents. It is illustrated by the example of the potassium dichromate.
