On Solving Copper in Acids

At school as an example of the oxidation-reduction (redox) reactions the reaction of solving copper in different acids is offered. The opportunity of using potentials of metals for a more in depth study of a profile course “Chemistry of metals: solving of metals in acids” and the complexity of forming products of copper solving in the depending on the reaction conditions is shown in the article. The calculation of electromotive force (EMF) of reactions provides a theoretical basis for the forming of different copper products in acids.
